This article describes the methodology and results of the study of the physical and mechanical characteristics of truss metal plates. Truss metal plates are steel plates with a thickness of 1… 2 mm on their one side, after stamping, special teeth receive teeth of different shapes and lengths. Truss metal plates are placed in pairs on both sides of the connecting elements so that the rows of teeth are arranged in the direction of the fibers of the connected wooden element, which exerts the greatest effort. In our country, widespread connections on truss metal plates like MZP-1,2 and MZP-2. The modern experience of construction in our country and abroad shows that the greatest demand in the real estate market is the use of building structures made of environmentally friendly materials, including solid wood. Wooden structures on truss metal plates differ in compactness and reliability of joints, lack of protruding parts and details, high manufacturability. Light wooden trusses on truss metal plates are widely used not only in low-rise and industrial construction, but also in areas such as attic construction and reconstruction of buildings. In particular, the study of board arches on metal gear plates, which will help to solve the problem of the use of quick and easy structures for the coating of buildings and structures. The aim of the study was to determine the physico-mechanical characteristics of truss metal plates. Tests were performed according to DSTU and DBN. Plates with a thickness of 1.2 mm, a strip width of 30 mm and a length of 200 mm were used for the tensile test. The test series consisted of six sample plates. The plates were stamped teeth, which reduced the working section of the plate. Therefore, the width of the net plate was 20 mm. The tests were performed on a R-20 bursting machine. To secure the truss metal plates in the collets of the bursting machine, part of the rows of teeth at the ends of the plates were removed. During the test, a diagram of the load to absolute deformation of the test specimens was constructed, the destructive tensile strength and tensile strength of the truss metal plate were determined. The article presents the types of broken plates.
