Annotation

The article reveals the concept and essence of sports tourism. Characteristic features of sports tourism are considered. It is substantiated that sports tourism performs sports, health, recreational, cognitive, educational, economic and other functions. The main problems of sports tourism in Ukraine are identified and ways to solve them are given. The analysis of ski areas, resorts and their tourist infrastructure is carried out in the work. The article considers the natural conditions for development of these types of tourism, lists the country territories which are suitable for mountain hiking, water hiking, caving and determines their category of complexity. It is important to further build a line of healthy lifestyle and study the international experience of mechanisms to stimulate the population to use sports and recreational and recreational forms of tourism. Since about 95% of the territory of Ukraine is lowlands and hills, where there are no significant obstacles, almost the entire territory of Ukraine is covered by hiking. Climatic conditions allow to develop this type of tourism throughout the year. The large territory of Ukraine is suitable for cycling. They are extremely popular in the world, their undeniable advantages are the opportunity to get acquainted with more objects during the trip. Sports tourism - a non-Olympic sport, which consists in passing certain paths, called routes, overcoming natural and man-made obstacles (mountain peaks and passes (in mountain tourism) or river rapids (in river rafting)), performing techniques, special tactical and technical tasks. The place of tourist travel can be not only the Earth's surface, but also water, etc. Sports tourism is a specific type of tourist and sports activities, the main form of which is a sports trip or competition in tourism, these activities are aimed at testing physical, mental, spiritual human strength, improving the tourist skills of the tourist, compliance with the standards of sports categories. Sports tourism is a form of public consumption of specific goods, services and goods, which have objectively developed as a result of sociologization of the reproductive function, forming a branch of activity to create this specific product and organize its consumption, which ultimately belongs to the consumer sectors. The peculiarity of active tourism is that achieving sports results is not the main goal here, and therefore it can be more massive, accessible to the general population. Despite the rapid pace of tourism development and its mass have led to negative changes in the natural environment in some regions. In Ukraine, development of active tourism needs support, coordinated management within the entire active tourism industry of the country.
