Annotation

The researcj supplies a detailed analysis of literary sources on the study of the work of different species of «pure wood» on the compression along the fibers of foreign and domestic scientists.

The technique of experimental research of structural materials of coniferous (larch, pine, spruce) and deciduous (birch, alder, ash) wood with a single short-term compression load along the fibers was developed. A detailed analysis of modern testing machines and electromechanical presses was conducted.

Te target testing of structural materials of conifers (larch, spruce) and deciduous (birch, alder, ash) wood with rigid testing on a modern servo-hydraulic testing machine for compression along fibers was first conducted. For the first time, complete diagrams of deformation of such species of wood have been constructed. According to the experimental researches of all kinds of wood on the complete diagrams of deformation of the material the main areas of work on the ascending and descending branches are established. For certain areas, a detailed analysis of the work of different species of wood for compression along the fibers with a single short-term load under rigid test mode was carried out.

The critical and boundary deformations of coniferous (larch, pine, spruce) and deciduous (birch, alder, ash) wood were determined experimentally.

The basic characters of destruction of wood samples are established.

The scope of future experimental studies was determined.
