Annotation

The article presents results of the research concerning the impact of mineral fertilizers on the structure of yield of spring barley varieties, such as Halychanyn and Vzirets on black podzolic medium loamy soil, under conditions of the Western Forest-steppe.

Analysis of the research results demonstrates that in the variety Halychanyn, on the variant of N30P30K30, the weight of grain constitutes 465 g/m2. Increase of the norm of mineral nutrition up to N45+45P50K70, and N60+60P60K80 caused sufficient increase of that indicator, i.e. to 595 and 647 g/m2 respectively. In the variety Vzirets, the weight of grain per a unit of area was a little lower, while the similar picture was observed. Thus, under the norms of N30P30K30, the average weight of grain for three years constituted 430 g/m2. On those variants, where the norm of mineral fertilizers was increased up to N45+45P50K70 and N60+60P60K80, the weight of grain sufficiently increased and constituted 562 and 592 g/m2 respectively.

Analysis of yield capacity of spring barley is the evidence in favor of a divided application of nitric fertilizers. Weather conditions, which have been established for years of the research during the vegetation period of spring barley, also had a considerable impact on productivity of agrophytocenosis of spring barley, comparing to some other examined factors. The degree of impact of a crop variety on yield capacity of spring barley constitutes 12 %, the weather conditions – 16 %. The greatest impact on formation of yield was done by mineral fertilizers, i.e. 71 %.

The present research suggests that the highly-intensive varieties Halychanyn and Vzirets positively react to the increased norms of mineral fertilizers. To create a favorable nutrition mode for agrophytocenosis of spring barley on black podzolic medium loamy soil of the Western Forest-steppe, the norm of mineral fertilizers should be increased up to N120P60K80. Nitric fertilizers are recommended to be applied in two stages, i.e. 50 % at the pre-sowing cultivation and 50% for fertilization in the phase of spring barley tillering.
