Annotation

Land Management project is a set of economic and technical design documents to justify measures on land use and protection.

Development of the animal breeding branch primarily depends on creation of a strong forage base, primarily through increased use of forage lands, which occupy 18% of all agricultural lands in Ukraine. To increase productivity, many farms apply mixed use of forage lands. In conditions of intensive grassland production, pasture lands are often used for mowing glass under green fodder. From natural forage forests in the form of hay, herbal flour, granules and other feeds, they produce about 30% of all feed that is used. The many-years research shows that productivity of natural forage lands can be multiplied several times by performing the complex of measures.

Geo-botanical surveys play a very important role in land management. They are conducted to obtain information on the conditions of the land vegetation and their characteristics. Geo-botanical knowledge is of great importance in human practice. The exploitation and restoration of natural vegetation is based on the knowledge of laws of formation and reproduction of natural resources. Geo-botany can justify the use of pastures and those hayfields. Geo-botanical survey of lands provides information about the degree of soil fertility, their acidity, water availability, salinity and other factors such as plants and plant communities – indicators of the habitat area. During engineering surveys, the study of vegetation cover forage lands (hayfields, mowing) often concern only their rational use and increased productivity. In the study of vegetation, ornithological surveys are also planned for the purpose of the proper use of natural resources, conservation of fauna and future enrichment.
