Annotation

Based on the literature data, it has been established that increasing urbanization and population are leading to an increased anthropogenic load on water bodies. The problem of pollution of natural waters with runoff from fields, forests and livestock farms has become more and more important, which is connected with increasing volumes of agricultural production. The allocation of land for summer cottages and gardens within the coastal stripes of small rivers became widespread.

The negative impact on the surface and groundwater of the landfills is indicated. In places of storage, anthropogenic aquifers are formed that exceed all existing technogenic formations in the underground hydrosphere in terms of pollution.

The pollutants enter the reservoirs not only with concentrated discharges of industrial and agricultural enterprises or wastewater treatment plants, but much of their flow is caused by the leaching of pollutants from the catchment areas.

Considering the number of inhabitants, a significant amount of wastewater discharges by existing industrial enterprises investigated the influence of urbanized territory of the city of Stryi on the quality of river water. The ecological and hygienic state of the river water quality of the river Stryi and the composition of the pollution caused by the impact of the urbanized area were evaluated. The results of laboratory tests on sanitary-chemical and microbiological parameters are used in the work.

The main sources of river water pollution are found to be rainfall from the city and industrial areas that are not cleared, flushing from the catchment areas of fertilizers and poison chemicals introduced into the soil, as well as insufficient sewage treatment at the Stryi treatment plants.

High levels of pollution create natural landfills for municipal and industrial waste along the Stryi River, as well as unauthorized quarries that impair the hydrological and natural water purification process.

Key words
