Annotation

The importance of consuming tomatoes, their value, therapeutic properties and effects on the human body are noted. Tomatoes have a large range of usage in cooking, such as marinating, pickling, sun drying that allows them to be consumed throughout the year. Tomatoes contain easily digestible carbohydrates, pectins and are rich in macro- and micro elements

A set of positive factors in the ability of increasing fruit yields is indicated. The analysis of plant requirements to nutritional conditions in the seedling period and at a permanent place of cultivation has been carried out. It is payed attention to the consequences of the introduction of increased doses of nitrogen.

The hybrids of Chibli F1, Asterix F1, Ulisse F1, Namib F1, Safaiks F1 were studied in the conditions of the experimental field of the Department of horticulture and vegetable-growing of Lviv National Agrarian University during 2016–2017. Care of plants is generally accepted for the growing zone.

It is shown a change in the yield of tomatoes over the years of researches. The high-yield hybrids (Chibli F1 and Namib F1) in the growing zone and their yields from 132,6 t/ha to 130,2 t/ha were noted for an average of two years. It has been researched that on average, over two years, yield to control fluctuated from 1,7 % (Asterix F1) to 13,5 % (Chibli F1).

It has been found that the hybrids Asterix F1 and Ulisse F1 react the most to the conditions of years of researches. The difference in yield between the years in the mentioned hybrids is 16,7 t/ha and 23,6 t/ha, respectively. This makes it possible to approve that in the Lviv region, tomato hybrids are capable of producing high yields. The highest yield was obtained during the two years of growing in the hybrid Chibli F1 (132,5 t/ha), and Namib F1 (130,2 t/ha).
