Annotation

The results of studies on the effect of the prolonged use of various fertilizer systems and periodic liming on the dynamics of the redox potential (RP) of light-gray forest surface-gleyed soil under the corn, which starts the X rotation, obtained in the classical stationary experiment, are presented. The obtained ORP values indicate its variability in experimental variants depending on temperature and humidity, phase of crop development, level and type of fertilizer, as well as on doses of applied limestone fertilizers. It was established that the RP of light-gray forest surface-gleyed soils under corn increased on all studied variants from spring to mid-vegetation period and gradually decreased before harvesting, regardless of fertilizer systems, due to the gradual decrease of biochemical processes in the soil. The lowest RP values during the entire vegetation period in almost all variants were obtained in the flowering phase of corn (456–500 mV) at 17,0–20,0 °C and the lowest soil moisture content 6,7–9,1 %. For organo-mineral fertilizer systems with the background of liming, both according to hydrolytic acidity and acid-base buffer capacity, the RP values are higher during the flowering of corn and in the phase of milk ripeness at the same air temperature and soil moisture compared to mineral systems and the application of only mineral fertilizers with the background of liming. Application of organo-mineral fertilizer system with the introduction of one norm of mineral fertilizers (N65P68K68), 10 t manure on ha of crop rotation area with the background of the fifth year after the introduction of the optimal norm of lime according to the acid-base buffer capacity (2,5 t/ha СаСО3) contributes to RP growth up to 605–626 mV against 575–614 mV of a similar fertilizer system with the background of CaCO3 dose (7,0 t/ha Ha), calculated according to hydrolytic acidity. It indicates the formation of moderately oxidizing conditions and the growth of mineralization processes when applying high doses of lime.
